Best of 2014 Golf Season

These are some of your best remarks along with some of my favorite moments from the 2014 golf season.

Jimmy Walker explodes on the scene winning at Pebble Beach and collecting a seasons worth of FedEx points early in the PGA’s first wrap around season.

Paula Creamer holes out a 75 foot eagle putt to win the HSBC in a playoff.

Victor Dubuisson made two par saves in the WGC Match Play Final in extra holes that were out of the rocks/ cactus/ desert area that were amazing.  Victor won the last two holes of the match just to get to extra holes.

Lexi Thompson became the second youngest player to win a Major at the Kraft Nabisco.  Still the best post tournament tradition of jumping in the pond and wearing the white robe.

Bubba Watson shoot a pair of 64’s on the weekend at Rivera CC to win.

Patrick Reed won at the Humana and Doral, proclaiming himself  “a top five player in the world.”  He backed it up by showed up at the Ryder Cup.

Rory McIlroy had a year for the ages. Winning two Majors, BMW PGA, WGC Bridgestone, PGA Player of the Year, Race to Dubai winner, PGA Tour Money Winner and won three points for the winning side at this years Ryder Cup.

Losing both Jason Dufner and Dustin Johnson for portions of this year on the PGA Tour took some air out of the late season heroics.  Here is hoping they both can come back in top form.

SeveTigerGolfer….How about Chris Kirk shooting 64-66 on Labor Day weekend at the DBC Boston!  That was awesome with Rory watching in the same group.

JoshT@Comcast….Billy Horschel played lights out in September to win the FedEx Cup.  Why wasn’t he on our Ryder Cup Team?

Kim”I luv A.Scott” @verizon….How can any list be published without the mention of Lydia Ko at 17 years old winning youngest LPGA Rookie of the Year collecting over a million dollars and three wins!!

GregA1golfer…Recipe to win The Masters: 50 of 72 greens in reg, only two 3 putts all week, #1 in driving distance.  Here is your second Green Jacket Bubba Watson.

CoachCurtis…You were right Mike, Matt Jones’s hole out on his 3rd shot at the Shell Houston Open to win the playoff after he birdied #18 to get into extra holes has to make your list.

BDobs…Martin Kaymers US Open performance was top shelf.  Wire to wire victory.  65-65 Thursday and Friday on Pinehurst greens, put his name on the trophy.

Carlo…The list can’t be complete without a Ryder Cup post.  Poulter chip in Saturday on #15, Jamie Donaldson hitting quality shot after shot, or maybe Rory waxing Ricky 5&4 in Sunday singles.  Take your pick..

PetePUGolfer...Not that is was a great moment but great drama for the period of time starting around Sunday at the Ryder Cup Matches.   Add to the mix the post press conference then all the fallout of Mickelson’s words and then the behind the scenes USA stories and finally ending with the Ted Bishop situation.  This was like a movie script.

MikeAPGA…FOX Sports doing golf?  I really don’t like Joe Buck, now I have to hear him in the tower..I miss Johnny Miller already.

MeredithMLB….Mo Martin better make your list.  240 yards 3 wood on the last hole of a Major and it hits the stick and she makes eagle to win! Shot of the Year..Hello!!
